The embroidery is based on an illustration by Pierre-Joseph Redoute from the album "The Most Beautiful Flowers". Pierre-Joseph Redouté was a French botanist and artist of the 18th and 19th centuries. One of his most famous albums, The Lilies, was created for Empress Josephine, whose garden he worked on for a long time.
What's included in the set.
-Cut of striped silk (pink with white stripes); striped linen (grey-beige with white stripes) or plain beige linen. Silk is fine and delicate, but comfortable to work with, not finicky. Linen is more textured.
