The embroidery is based on a sketch of Citrus striatus by Johann Nappa, a talented botanist who studies varieties of fruit and berry plants.
What's included in the kit:
- A section of linen, with the sketch printed on it. You do not need to translate the scheme on the fabric, and you can immediately start embroidering.
- Thread for sewing accessories.
- White muline from 100% silk Au Ver a Soie. This muline is a French company with a rich history. The muline is durable, with a noble lustre.
- Tulle, 2 shades.
- Cotton Anchor, 5 shades.
- Red Sumiko silk thread.
- Faceted Rondelle beads, 2 shades.
- A piece of natural silk velvet.
- Section of tweed.
- Italian sequins, 4 mm.
- TOHO beads #15, with different coatings (matt, transparent iridescent, opaque).
- Beading needle and super fine needle for vintage glass beads.
- Archival gold glass beads from an embroidery shop in Bologna.
- Prym adhesive for edging the edges of the leaves.
- An illustration of the citron to guide you.
- PDF file with instructions, diagrams, photos of the finished work and a link to a video (macro shot of all the techniques used).
The size of the finished embroidery is 16.5cm by 10.5cm.
